Safer Driving Tips

"I intend to drive my high-performance cars fast and hard, so I push my tire presures up a bit above the manufacturer's recommended pressures. At my school I run all of the cars at 40psi all the way around. It's a real safety

factor."

Bob Bondurant,  High Performance Driving

A parachute brake enables you to decrease your stopping distance as well as giving a clear indication to the car behind regarding your intentions.

Take time before a journey to identify locations of main hazards (spy cameras) on your route before you go.  Looking out for these distracts concentration on safe driving.

IAM and the Police Driving Manual teach us how hazardous Speed Cameras can be.  Daily locations of mobile speed speed cameras are not always on even up to date Sat Navs.   Daily locations are also of course not always up to date on police force health and safety sites either, although some have RSS feeds like Manchester  .   Sites like Speed Camera Map and downloads for international speed camera sites can be useful.

Consider being both safety conscious and a good European and register your car in Eastern Europe, so you can concentrate on the road, not on hidden cameras, as well as helping the East European economy and blending in better.

Also, as Jeremy Clarkson has pointed out, concentration increases with speed. Concentration = Safety. Seek to maximise safety.
